Chad and Cathy Geist- Hide and Seek Day Camp Directors
Chad and Cathy are thrilled to be running SEEK Ministries, Inc under the guidance and Lordship of Jesus Christ. Each are passionate in their love for others and in seeing those around them come to know Jesus Christ in a real and exciting way through a personal relationship with Him. Chad currently works for Southeast Restoration Group in Holly Springs, GA. Chad comes from a business background holding a degree in Business Management from Kennesaw State University. He has also worked in ministry with Operation Christmas Child, a project of Samaritan’s Purse. Cathy, who serves as Director of Hide and Seek Day Camp and works full time for SEEK Ministries, holds an AA from Truett McConnell College and a BSEd from the University of Georgia. Cathy worked at Woodstock High School in the Cherokee County School system for 8 years before becoming a stay at home Mom. Cathy also has camp experience working at the Cherokee outdoor YMCA, where she and Chad met, and serving as Program Director for Highland Day Camp in Alpharetta, Ga. The Geists are long time residents of Cherokee county and are excited for the opportunity to serve in their own community. Chad and Cathy are members of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Canton, Ga. They currently reside in Canton, Ga with their daughter, Ella and their son, Josiah.
Doug Mulkey- Vice President and Director of Spiritual Oversight
Doug has pastored and lived in the Hickory Flat Community for 28 years. He has been married to his wife, Terry, for 42 years and is the father of three children and four grandchildren. He is an avid runner and is involved heavily with the Hickory FlatOut 5K. He believes that Hide and Seek provides and unique niche in the Hickory Flat Community by providing solid, biblical teaching, adventurous opportunities, and strong mentorships.
Lisa Crowe- Director
Lisa is a long-time resident of Cherokee County. She enjoys watching sports and spending time with her husband, Mitch and two children, Ashton and Carson. She enjoys serving on the board because she believes that Hide and Seek gives children a safe place to spend the summer, while the Word is being poured into them.
Jerry Garrison- Director of Community Relations
Jerry has recently retired from his job at Siemens and is active in his church. He is a supporter of both local and foreign missions programs and has been on several mission trips with his wife, Debbie. He has three children and many grandchildren.
Michele Coursey- Director of Program Oversight
Michele is the Ministry Assistant for the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Georgia State University. She enjoys spending time with her husband, Ray and her two sons, Cole and Caleb. She believes that Hide and Seek has impacted the community by allowing children to experience Christ through outdoor experiences.
